With on-site parking and a layout suited to families or groups of friends, this single-storey lodge offers a practical base for exploring the countryside. Step inside, and the open-plan living space draws you in with its warm tones and natural flow. The kitchen sits ready for action, equipped with everything from a gas hob and oven to a microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, ideal for preparing anything from a quick breakfast to a hearty evening meal.

The dining area, with seating for all, becomes the hub for shared meals, board games, and planning the next day’s adventures. The sitting area invites you to settle in with a film on the Smart TV or a good book in hand. The seating is arranged to encourage conversation and connection, whether you’re winding down after a walk or simply enjoying the quiet. Two bedrooms, a double and a twin, offer a calm space to retreat to, each served by its own shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC. These facilities offer ease for all guests, whether travelling as a family or with friends.

Outside, the private decking provides a space to pause. Sink into the hot tub beneath the stars or enjoy a morning coffee at the outdoor table as the landscape slowly comes to life around you. The idyllic Wensleydale village of Aysgarth is situated in a walker's paradise close to well known Aysgarth Falls and impressive Bolton Castle which dates back to 1379. Aysgarth Falls have attracted visitors for over 200 years, famously Ruskin, Turner and Wordsworth all visited and enthused about the 'falls' outstanding beauty. In the 19th century Aysgarth was a staging post and many a traveller would make their way down to view the falls from the bridge. Today, many will recognise the Upper Falls from the film Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. In the nearby Freeholders' Wood, where the ancient art of coppicing is still carried out and visitors will find hazel, ash and wild cherry, among others. The woodland is carpeted with wildflowers in spring and is home to over 120 species. Aysgarth makes an excellent holiday location for walkers, offering a great base from which to explore both Wensleydale and Swaledale, with beauty spots in the area including Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater, castles at both Bolton and Middleham and of course, Hardraw Force - England's highest single drop waterfall at 99ft! There are also lots of interesting market towns and villages to visit, including Hawes, Leyburn and Bainbridge, to name but a few.
