Guests say

Kelda Garthr is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its tranquil garden, stunning views, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-stocked kitchen, cosy living spaces, and the property's convenience for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests recommending the property for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The property is generally regarded as clean, with several reviews highlighting its tidiness. However, a few guests mentioned issues such as cobwebs and dirty crockery, which slightly impacts the overall perception of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its quiet setting, proximity to local amenities, and stunning views across the Dales. It serves as an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, contributing to a high score in this category.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy beds and warm atmosphere. Some concerns about seating in the conservatory and the comfort of certain beds prevent a perfect score.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a good supply of guides, maps, and kitchenware. However, issues such as water pressure, heating noise, and the need for garden furniture and recycling provisions suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

We wanted for nothing and had a generous supply of logs and kindling for the log burner which provided a cosy ambience which is ideal for this time of the year. There is also a lovely view from the rear of the property.

Thought the safety lights were a useful touch. We were a bit surprised that we were unable to get into the property until 5pm.. prior to COVID the average was 2-3pm. It seems that access to cottages is becoming later and later and there's little justification for it now, especially as we are often asked to assist the cleaners by stripping beds and emptying bins at the end of our stay, which we happily do.. we left a note to advise that there were no spare internal bin bags left that we could find and we also used the last spare AA battery. Thanks

Easy access to The Dales, enjoyed some good bike rides. Spotlessly clean, warm and quiet. Plenty of hot water for a powerful shower. Slightly tight for 5 adults, perfect for 4. Would have appreciated a couple of larger pans to cook for 5 but otherwise very well equipped. Fast internet connection. Highly recommended.
