Great place. It’s situated just a short walk (wouldn’t recommend doing it in the dark though) or drive into Hawes. The town has some great pubs, a Spar, a chippy and a pizza/kebab place.We stayed in the Herdwick which was great. Just perfect for the two of us. A double bed, kitchenette with hob, microwave and mini oven/grill. A shower room with heated towel rail. A TV with a settee too. We stayed when the weather was biblical and the Herdwick kept warm and dry. The private hot tub was a real bonus. We would definitely recommend.

The Herdwick pod provides a comfortable stay. The pod is clean and well equipped with cooking facilities and enough utensils, crockery etc. Made up on arrival and presented nicely with clean towels and bedding. Hot tub was perfect after a day walking the dales and was spotlessly clean and checked for correct chlorine levels during our stay. Very peaceful and private
