Gayle is as pretty as a picture. Too small to be a village, the hamlet is only half a mile from the market town of Hawes in Wensleydale. You'll find all of the shops and amenities necessary for a self-catering holiday in Hawes, including a weekly market every Tuesday. We highly recommend you visit the Wensleydale Creamery for tasty local goodies and the chance to learn about cheesemaking. Just past the house you can join the Pennine way which has lovely views of the beck and the Mill.

When you stay at Watersdale End, the opportunity for adventure is endless. Hardraw Force, Aysgill Force and Aysgarth Falls are accessible on foot or mountain bike, and you won't want to miss the spectacular sight of the Ribblehead Viaduct. Explore The Forbidden Corner, or treat yourself to a spa day. Visit Bolton Castle or Middleham Castle, the latter of which is where Richard III spent his childhood. Watersdale End is a picturesque stone cottage surrounded by an enclosed garden.

Downstairs:

The living room has views of rolling fields, gorgeous velvet sofas, a 55-inch Smart TV with Sky channels and a log burner.

Cooking is a pleasure in this modern kitchen, which is equipped with high-quality appliances, including a bean-to-cup coffee maker and a dishwasher. A welcome hamper is a thoughtful touch.

Upstairs:

Attention to detail in the bedroom gives the house a country spa feel. Expect high-quality bed linen, bathrobes and slippers for your comfort.

Bedroom One is a spacious double room with a king-sized bed, proper storage, and an ensuite shower room.

Bedroom Two is also a double room and furnished with a king-sized bed.

Bedroom Three has a double bed with a single bunk above, suitable for families.

A family bathroom features a bath, shower, WC and handbasin.

Outside: The enclosed garden features a rattan dining table and chairs, and a private area with a covered hot tub. There is off-street parking next to the cottage.

Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and a doggy welcome pack is provided. Bed linen, bath towels, basic toiletries and cleaning items are included, as are WiFi and utilities.
