A charming apartment set within the picture-postcard market town of Hawes, this delightful hideaway makes a great base for exploring the rolling Yorkshire Dales National Park. Sleeping just two guests, the one-bedroom bolthole sits on the first floor of a building that was once an old printworks. Step straight out to explore colourful Hawes, with its gorgeous stone architecture, fascinating independent shops and welcoming local pubs. While you are here, make time to visit the Dales Countryside Museum and the famous Wensleydale Creamery. Stroll 2 miles out of town to see the enchanting waterfalls at Hardraw Force and Cotter Force. Venture 10 miles from the apartment to see the spectacular Aysgarth Falls, which famously appeared in the films Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights. Plan a day out to historic Richmond, 24 miles away, to wander the attractive town’s streets and visit its splendid Norman castle.
Enter this Yorkshire hideaway by making your way under the archway and through the courtyard to the rear of the cafe. Let yourselves into the building via the shared entrance hall, then climb a flight of stairs to the front door to your private quarters. Head inside to discover accommodation that still presents an abundance of original features, including exposed stonework and beams. At the heart of the apartment is a cosy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you and your loved one can relax and simply enjoy being away together. Prepare tasty meals for each other using the Yorkshire produce you have sourced in Hawes and the equipment supplied in the kitchen area. Dine together at the round table, then carry your glasses over to the sofa and kick back to enjoy your evening. Surf the channels on the Smart TV or read your holiday novels. When you are ready for a great night’s sleep, amble through to the king-size bedroom. Here you also have a chic en-suite shower room.
There is no dedicated outside space with this apartment, but guests can stroll down to Gayle Beck and are just 150 metres from the edge of town and the start of the Pennine Way. Parking is on the street or in a free car park, 100 metres away, both subject to availability.
