Stoke up the wood burner in here after autumn and winter hikes through your beautiful surroundings, then snuggle down on the sofa with your books open or the Smart TV on. Brew fresh Yorkshire tea over in the kitchen area, where there is a breakfast bar and all the accessories you will also need to help you rustle up tasty meals for two. Open the back door in here on summer evenings to bring in a pleasant breeze. At the end of each exciting day away, climb the stairs up to the first floor of the cottage (these are steep and turn).  Here, you will find a welcoming king-size bedroom and a bathroom where you can have a relaxing soak after your long walks. There is a bench at the front of the retreat where you can unwind under the stars on summer evenings with a chilled bottle of wine and a couple of glasses.

Walk or drive 5 miles from the cottage to see the celebrated Aysgarth Falls, which have appeared in many films and television programmes. Climb up to the impressive Buttertubs Pass, 8.5 miles away, to enjoy panoramic views out across the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Visit Hawes, 5.5 miles away, to potter in the shops, source local produce and take a tour and perhaps a tasting session at the renowned Wensleydale Creamery.
