The historic houses of Norton Conyers and Newby Hall & Gardens are also close by. The tunnel in the basement was amazing. The house was quiet, well equipped, clean, warm, comfortable with lots of hot water. The view of the canal was lovely with the Willow tree and spring flowers outside the front door. The welcome basket was an extra treat which we all enjoyed . We had an extremely relaxing stay and would definitely return.
