The delightful Hackfall Woods lie within walking distance, along with the convenience of a shop and pub sitting less than a mile away. With miles of breathtaking walks and biking trails on your doorstep, this hideaway is somewhat of a haven for lovers of all things outdoors. Attractions such as Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Ripley castle are not to be missed during your visit. A stay in this outstanding holiday home oozing charm and character will provide a truly restful getaway. The attractive stone exterior gives way to a bright and airy, open plan living space made up of the lounge, kitchen and dining area. At the heart of the lounge you will find a cosy wood burner complimented by exposed beams overhead to give off an indisputably homely feel. The compact kitchen is home to everything you'll need to rustle up a hearty meal before sitting down to enjoy it in the dining area. The smaller of the two bedrooms is located on the ground floor, complete with a spacious en suite shower room. Make your way upstairs to be welcomed by the stunning master bedroom, of generous proportions alongside a sizable en suite shower room. What's more, this restful oasis boasts a free standing bath, so you can sink into the bubbles and take in the picturesque views. Outside, guests can enjoy a large patio area, along with plenty of lawn areas surrounding the cottage if you wish to lay down a picnic blanket for a spot of al fresco dining. Guests can also get to know the resident farm animals, from sampling freshly laid eggs to watching the horses being shod. Need to know: 1 bedroom with two queen size beds and 1 super king bedroom. 2 en suite shower rooms, with a free standing bath in the master bedroom. Kitchen: oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and dishwasher. Shop and pub within 1 mile. Off road parking for 2 cars. LCD TV. Wi Fi included. Outside patio area and lawn area. Resident farm animals. Electric and central heating included. Horse friendly. Guests are very welcome to keep a horse in the owner's stables and paddocks. The property is located next door to the owner''s farm and families can watch activities such as horses being shod (hence the name Anvil Cottage) and sheepdogs being trained on the extensive farmland surrounding the property. An evening meal can be provided on arrival if required, please request this at the time of booking. Dogs are not permitted inside the cottage, however you would be very welcome to use the owner's purpose built stone kennels by prior arrangement. Security deposit of 100 payable.
