Snaptrip says

Holmefield House in Ripon is a well-situated cottage offering a comfortable stay with a well-equipped kitchen and a quiet, convenient location. Guests appreciate the property's spaciousness, privacy, and proximity to local amenities and attractions. While some guests have raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance, the majority have enjoyed their stay, highlighting the property's value and suitability as a base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Mixed feedback on cleanliness, with several guests finding the property not up to standard, mentioning issues such as dust, crumbs, and a smell of dogs. However, others have reported the house as clean, suggesting inconsistency in cleaning quality.

The location is frequently praised for being quiet and convenient, with easy access to Ripon centre, nearby parks, and attractions. The presence of an annex has been noted but does not generally detract from the positive location reviews.

Guests find the sofas and mattresses comfortable, and the property spacious. However, some have criticised the quality of furnishings and lack of sofa space for larger groups, indicating room for improvement in comfort.

The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, but there are reports of maintenance issues such as broken bathroom fixtures and a lack of certain items. The mix of feedback suggests good facilities with some areas needing attention.

While some guests mention a welcome hamper and considerate touches like a Christmas tree, there are not enough consistent references to gifts or extra thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such amenities are not guaranteed.

The home was clean, facilities in the kitchen and bathrooms very good. We are thankful that the owners put up a Christmas tree to ensure a festive trip for the kids. Very considerate. Small touches of wine on arrival very appreciated. The property was easy to access on arrival. Great location to Ripon and local supermarkets, pubs. Thank you for ensuring we had a comfortable, cosy Christmas stay

There is a small, shared, but secluded garden to the back and a front drive with off-road parking. The area is pleasant and very quiet and the house is spacious and well equipped and represents very good value for money.
