The main living space is a delight, with a warm and cosy woodburning stove set into a beautiful fire surround, quality furnishings and those little extra touches that create a lovely home-from-home atmosphere. The pretty kitchen is well equipped, and leads out into a lovely cottage garden. Upstairs, two delightful bedrooms with original character in the shape of old beams and original open fireplace are further complemented by a modern bathroom with a wonderful walk-in shower. Nearby, the amenities of Masham include its wonderful twice-weekly market, the Theakston and Black Sheep Visitor Centres, Vennell’s award-winning restaurant, plus a great range of traditional old pubs with lots of warmth and good old fashioned Yorkshire welcome. The market towns of Richmond, Leyburn, Skipton and Hawes are all within a short drive, as are the beautiful Fountains and Jervaulx Abbeys. Spend a day shopping in nearby Ripon or bustling Harrogate, whilst a trip to York is surely not to be missed, with its famous York Minster and ‘Shambles’. With lovely views of the surrounding countryside, good walks from the doorstep and a short walk to an excellent local pub, what more could you need for a relaxing break in the Yorkshire Dales?
