When it is time to unwind, head to the sitting room and sink into the plush corner sofa with your loved ones to watch TV for the evening. As night rolls in, venture to the bedrooms for some rest; the third-floor is home to a king-size and a twin with a zip and link feature for a flexible sleeping arrangement, along with a shower room so you can freshen up between activities. Climb the stairs up to the fourth floor where you will find the remaining master bedroom; home to characterful vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, a king-size bed, a dressing table so you can get ready in style, and a Juliet balcony, along with a fabulous en-suite with a freestanding bath as well as a walk-in shower. Book an afternoon at Scarlett's Vintage Tea Rooms for a charming bite to eat, or perhaps try The Mitre Inn for a traditional pub grub menu. Brush up on your history and visit Knaresborough Castle, ruins of the 1100 castle believed to have been built by the Romans. Take a peaceful stroll along the River Nidd, where you may also find Nidd Gorge, a deep ravine encompassed by dense woodland. Venturing further afield, a short drive will take you into Harrogate, known for its history as a Victorian spa town, the town is now perfect for a day of shopping and indulging in the array of pubs, restaurants and cafés. Slightly further again by car, you can visit the city of York and explore its famous Minster and City Walls. If you don't fancy driving the train station is only a 5 minute walk from the property and runs regularly for your days out. The ancient market town of Knaresborough rests on the southern fringes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, overlooking the River Nidd. Conveniently located within easy reach of both the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Park, Knaresborough makes for an excellent base for exploring the delights of Yorkshire. Steeped in history, St John’s Church, Knaresborough House and the now-ruined Knaresborough Castle dating back to around 1100 still rest within the town centre too.
