Knaresborough, with its dramatic position perched on top of the cliffs overlooking the River Nidd, and the majestic Victorian viaduct spanning the gorge, this location is simply charming. Walk along Waterside and hire a boat, or simply just watch the world go by in one of the cafes along the riverbank. England s oldest attraction, Mother Shipton s Cave, is also right by the side of the river. The 12th century castle ruins and museum are also worth a visit along with the stunning Bebra gardens with summer paddling pool.
