The best parts about Thirsk lodge is that it feels very spacious and the hot tub is at the back of the lodge overlooking field of sheep, so very private and not overlooked by anyone.A small negative - the sofa cushions had seen better days and need a little refresh/wash and it is time for the frying pan to go. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay there again but maybe take our own frying pan with us, just in case.

It was a lovely lodge. Only two things. I felt the kitchen could have had a few more utensils. We often make pancakes on holiday and the frying pan was difficult to use as it was scratched. The utensils were metal and repeated use scratches the non stick. Only when we first arrived the towel rail was on its highest setting and I burned my arm on it( enough for me still to have a red mark a week later) perhaps house keeping could put these on the lowest setting and they could be turned up if need be. Once I had got used to them there wasnt an issue. Neither of these issues spoilt the week I just make them as suggestions.
