Kingfisher Lodge is one of four stylish, cosy lodges nestled in the scenic beauty of North Yorkshire’s Great Outdoors. Thoughtfully decorated, it offers a unique blend of outdoor living with all the luxuries of a modern home, creating a truly relaxing yet adventurous getaway.

Each lodge offers a generous living space with an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen featuring a large island and full-size appliances. The spacious living area includes two large sofas, a Smart TV, and an electric log burner effect, while the dining area boasts a large family table with lovely views over the terrace.

This lodge has three comfortable bedrooms, accommodating up to six people, including children of all ages. A travel cot and highchair can be provided upon request. The master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and a double bed, while the second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom includes two single beds. All bedrooms are dressed with Egyptian cotton bed linen with hypoallergenic duvets, ample wardrobe space and Smart TVs.

The family bathroom includes all facilities and a large bathtub as well as an overhead rainfall shower.

Outside, the enclosed wooden decking overlooks the River Ure, offering a prime and distinctive setting for alfresco dining that sets this lodge apart from others. A six-seater dining table and recliner chairs, provide the perfect place to relax while enjoying views of the surrounding meadows.

A tranquil retreat popular with dog owners, with easy access to local walks and grassy areas right on the doorstep. Ideal for a peaceful festive escape, tucked away from the crowds, with plenty of space for dog beds too.

Kingfisher Lodge is located in the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales, known for its breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and diverse wildlife. The area offers a variety of outdoor activities, including fly fishing, cycling and bird watching, perfect for nature enthusiasts.

Three dogs are allowed for a small additional charge per dog. We politely ask that dogs are kept off all beds and furniture.

Highchair and travel cot can be provided upon request, free of charge.

sauna & cold plunge experience

The wood-fired sauna and cold plunge overlooks the River Ure for an unforgettable experience.

Feel your stress fade away in the sauna and rejuvenate in the cold plunge. Rain or shine, the Sauna & Plunge offers a space to relax, reconnect, and recharge.

You can book the entire sauna for yourself, couple or friends/family. This is a private session, so you will not have to share the sauna with others. We allow a maximum of 4 people in a private session. This is a 90’ minute long session including time for changing before and after.

If you book on behalf of your group, you need to make sure that everybody has read and agreed to the waiver form.

Everybody in the group needs to be at least 16 years old to use the sauna.
