Set in a perfect location for discovering the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and the highly sought-after Ripon and Harrogate area, this hideaway is not to be missed!

Set in a perfect location for discovering the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and the highly sought-after Ripon and Harrogate area, this hideaway is not to be missed!

With far-reaching, 360-degree views across surrounding countryside, Pasture House is a welcoming family friendly and dog friendly property, boasting a large garden, beautifully decorated rooms, a spacious farmhouse kitchen, and a dining room. Exuding grandeur and oozing style, this home is a special place to enjoy time away with loved ones all year round.

The spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area features an Aga, roaring wood burning stove set in the original fireplace, and magnificent rural views from every window. There are two tastefully decorated sitting rooms, both with the added luxury of an electric living flame stove or traditional open fire and delightful views across the garden. A convenient ground floor bedroom offers full size 3' twin beds, with a shower room and utility room also located on this floor. Upstairs on the first floor there are two family bathrooms each featuring a free standing roll-top bath and large walk in shower, three bedrooms (a super-king size and two king-size) each individually designed using luxury soft furnishings. There is also a games room should any guests seek to bring out their competitive side.

Stepping outside, either through the front or rear entrance, guests have various patios for taking in the superb views across toward the North York Moors or Penhill looking down onto Wensleydale. A charcoal barbecue is provided for guests to enjoy throughout the warmer months. For dining out, the local pub The Buck Inn is a 15 minute walk away - perfect if you have spent the day watching the village cricket from the green or exploring one of the many bike trails and walks from the doorstep. After a day of long walks, a designated dog wash with hot and cold running water is located in the rear courtyard. For e-bike hire, contact Yorkshire Bike Hire, or Dales Bike Centre in the heart of Swaledale, the largest bike hire centre in the Yorkshire Dales. Pasture House has secure bike storage available for those wishing to bring their own bikes, and there is an app operated EV charger on site.

Should guests wish to independently hire a hot tub during their stay, the garden is more than suitable and the owners can provide an electric point.

Pasture House makes for the ideal base for all ages to experience an action packed holiday discovering North Yorkshire and more. From the Himalayan Gardens near Masham to Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes, famous for Wallace and Gromit's favourite, Wensleydale cheese, there is something for everyone.

Additional Information:

An initial supply of logs are provided for the fire and wood burner.

Four well-behaved, small to medium size dogs are welcome (no additional charge).

Children and Infants are welcome. High chair and travel cot available on request. Please bring your own linen for the travel cot.

The road leading to the property is an unmade road and is slightly uneven in places, therefore not suitable for low profile cars or sports cars.

The farm buildings nearby are run by the Smith-Dodsworth family who’s family have owned the Estate for over 700 years and the buildings are used for hay/straw storage to feed a small number of cattle, and sheep that graze the surrounding fields.

    Beautiful house and location. Very well appointed and cared for. Landlord was responsive when we had a problem with the heating, and the problem was resolved within hours, even though it was a Sunday and a plumber was needed. Nice goodies basket/fridge items on arrival. Very clean. Booking, arrival, and our stay were all very well organized by the landlord and Yorkshire Hideaways. Many thanks to all.

    We had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year with our family at Pasture house. Beautifully renovated and comfortable farmhouse with plenty of space for us all plus our two dogs. The house was well equipped and kept us lovely and warm with the Aga and plenty of logs supplied for the fires during what was a very cold windy week. We enjoyed the bracing walk along the track and over the field to the Buck inn in Thornton Watlass for real ales and a warm welcome . Pasture house is located up a long track on a working farm and we enjoyed the peaceful setting with beautiful sun rises and no road noise! Watching the resident barn owl each day was a highlight . Bedale was only a short drive away and had everything we needed for the week . We hope to return some day! Thank you .
