An excellent base for touring North Yorkshire and close to Thirsk with its amenities. Our host was very pleasant and accommodating, visiting his animals on the farm was a bonus.

The cottage was very comfortable, the location was very peaceful and set in beautiful countryside and there is easy access to lots of interesting days out. Our particular favourites are Thirsk birds of prey centre and Brimham rocks.

We used this as a good landmark! Also I donât know how practical but tarmac from cattle grid to the cottages would be an extra extra advantage. Other than that it was a lovely setting and very comfortable.
