Visit the nearby city of York (15 miles) and tour the National Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre and the spectacular Minster or walk the medieval city walls for a unique view of this wonderful city. With the pretty country towns of Helmsley (14 miles), Thirsk (9 miles) and Hovingham (13 miles) close by and attractions such as Rievaulx Abbey and Castle Howard to enjoy, this is a splendid base for a relaxing romantic holiday.
