Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests frequently commend the cottage for its cleanliness, describing it as immaculate and very clean, which indicates a high standard of hygiene and care.

The location is highly regarded for its quiet setting and easy access to local amenities, the coast, and market towns, making it an ideal base for exploring North Yorkshire.

The cottage is generally considered comfortable, with cosy furnishings and a warm welcome. However, some guests mention the beds being too soft and a lack of heating in the master bedroom, slightly affecting the comfort score.

Thoughtful gestures like festive decorations and a welcome pack are mentioned positively, enhancing guests' stays. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every visitor, expectations should be managed accordingly.

The kitchen has everything you need and more. Lovely log burner which we used a bit but the cottage was warm enough without it. Great facilities in Swainby village with the shop being the highlight and just round the corner and serving the best bacon butty we've had. Beautiful setting opposite the church and next to the beck. Easy roadside parking. Recommend a trip!

In general we find it very good value for money in a very pleasant location. It is compact but fine for two people. It is very clean and quiet and is well equipped. The only issue for us is that we can't use the log burner as I am asthmatic. Hence the living room is a bit on the chilly side at times. It does not have central heating and that should be pointed out. The panel heaters are also not in the main bedroom. Otherwise we are content with the cottage and would return because of the competitive price.

Communication with Lynne was very easy. Very comfy beds. Immaculate everywhere. A fully equipped kitchen. No central heating but heaters in bedrooms and a lovely log burner which kept the cottage warm throughout. Parking on the street was easy. We attended the Remembrance service in the church across the road. This place is a real gem.
