The cottage is a delight, comfortable clean and cosy and had everything we needed. A big plus was the security of our vehicle, as we were able to park within the property drive secured by electric gates. We were met and welcomed by the owner who was very pleasant and helpful. He gave us the keys for the cottage and the gate security. We were then left to enjoy our break walking the dog taking in the beautiful scenery and visiting Thirsk and Northallerton nearby. Our plans are to return later in the year. PAULINE

The bedroom and bathroom were one of the best we've had with comfortable bed, blinds and thick curtains, so nice and dark. Very quiet at night so we slept better than at home. Nice that hand soap, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets were included and a welcome pack of bread, milk and butter. Allan was welcoming and showed us around. Parking is at a premium in Osmotherley so the off street parking behind electronic gates was a bonus. The furnishings are all of good quality. The only let down is the sitting room which is tiny and the TV is mounted very high on the wall so we were unable to watch it without discomfort - we don't tend to watch a lot of TV on holiday so not really a problem for us but could be if it was a wet week. There is a TV in the bedroom so we just watched in bed. There are chairs for sitting outside but it is just a narrow passage way with no view so we didn't - the French doors allow loads of light and sunshine into the sitting room though. We would happily stay there again if in the area.

Apartment clean and had everything we needed. Nice that we were provided with bread, milk butter, tea and coffee. Great village with 3 nice pubs all serving food.
