Fox Cottage is situated on the border of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and a short drive from the historical medieval city of York. One of two cottages in a horseshoe arrangement this cosy, stylish home is the perfect retreat for a relaxing break and to explore the surrounding breath taking Yorkshire countryside.

The space

The owners have sympathetically restored and tastefully decorated the cottage with contemporary interiors and accommodates four people comfortably. Having an open plan living, dining and kitchen area with exposed beamed ceiling lends to a bright and spacious feeling.

The lounge provides seating for up to 6 people and surrounds the 55” 3D TV, with access to all sports and movie channels and a 3D Blu-ray/DVD player. The bose sound system gives that cinema experience and a substantial range of films, including new releases & 3D glasses are available to watch at your leisure free of charge. A solid oak dining table which seats six and a range of good quality furnishings add to the luxury ambience.

The open plan dining kitchen area is fitted with a Delonghi range style cooker and has every modern convenience you would expect to find including dishwasher, microwave, washing/dryer, Tassimo coffee maker and large American style fridge/freezer with ice maker, Denby crockery and a range of high quality kitchen and cooking utensils.

There are two bedrooms one with a double bed and the other has two singles, all beds have high quality luxury mattress and crisp white bed linen. The luxury bathroom is fitted with white contemporary Jack & Jill basins and double shower with side and overhead jets in addition to the luxurious roll top bath. A range of complimentary toiletries and luxury white bath towels are provided.

To the outside there is a private hot tub which has space for up to six people and lies beneath the open wooden pergola and privacy screening. There is ample garden space to enjoy a summer picnic and a relaxing afternoon in the sun.

Guest access

Access is through a intercom security system as the property has security gates. A gate remote control will be issued on arrival to gain access throughout the duration of stay.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

Security deposit: A security deposit of £150 will be charged prior to check in and returned following your stay.
