Guests say

Lottie's Loft in Grassington is highly praised for its cleanliness, homely atmosphere, and prime location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped space, thoughtful touches, and the property's suitability for walking holidays. While parking can be challenging and the stairs may not suit everyone, the overall experience is delightful, with many planning return visits.

The majority of guests report that Lottie's Loft is immaculately clean and well-presented, with only a few minor comments about specific cleanliness issues. These do not detract significantly from the overall high standards observed.

The location is consistently lauded for being central and ideal for exploring Grassington and the surrounding areas. The proximity to local amenities is a highlight, although parking difficulties are noted.

Guests find the property cosy and comfortable, with a particularly comfy bed mentioned. However, there are some remarks about the softness of the mattress and noise disturbances that suggest room for improvement.

The facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped for guests' needs. Some maintenance issues like dripping taps and a wobbly pan handle are mentioned, indicating minor areas for attention.

The thoughtful gestures, such as welcome gifts and Christmas decorations, are appreciated by guests, contributing to the property's charm. It should be noted that such personal touches, while delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

A lovely first floor studio apartment, formerly a blacksmith's workshop, in the heart of popular Grassington. Lovingly restored, Lottie's Loft has been individually styled and furnished to provide top quality accommodation in a superb location. There are excellent facilities, with a well-equipped kitchen, open plan living area, a super king-size bed, a separate dressing room and an open ceiling with exposed beams and Velux window. An ideal romantic retreat, or simply somewhere to recharge the batteries and enjoy Dales life at its finest, Lottie's Loft is a minute's walk from the village's wide range of shops and pubs, while Grassington's Dickensian weekends and festivals are not to be missed! The area is a walker's paradise, with beautiful walks along the river to Linton Falls, as well as more challenging walks into the nearby hills. An outstanding holiday cottage, not to be missed! Note: Can be booked with Ref 2317 to sleep 4.

Grassington is one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Traditional stone cottages and shops are clustered around the cobbled market place, offering exceptional shopping facilities for a village of this size, with a monthly farmer's market offering a mouthwatering range of organic and homemade local produce. Situated on the River Wharfe, with the extensive Grass Woods to the north of the village, this is a superb walking area. Down dale is Bolton Abbey with the Abbey ruins, the Priory and the famous "Strid Walk". A little further is the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the famous Ilkley Moor. Up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden boasting spectacularly beautiful limestone scenery. With many other beauty spots scattered throughout Wharfedale, Grassington provides a great base for exploring the local area and all that the Dales have to offer, with Brontë Country and York also being within easy motoring distance.

It would be handy to have some recycling bags for cardboard, plastic etc. Would definitely stay again!
