Snaptrip says

Sunnyside receives high praise for its immaculate condition, private and peaceful setting, and the exceptional hospitality of hosts Sue and Ian. Guests consistently mention the added luxuries such as a hot tub, homemade cake, and thoughtful decorations for special occasions, contributing to a home-from-home experience that exceeds expectations.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers consistently commend the cleanliness of Sunnyside, describing the property as immaculate and very clean, indicating meticulous maintenance and attention to detail by the hosts.

The property is appreciated for its peaceful and quiet setting, with guests enjoying the tranquility. While the location is described as beautiful, there are limited comments on accessibility or proximity to local attractions, hence the score reflects the positive but less detailed feedback.

Comfort is highly rated, with guests finding the beds very comfortable and the property spacious. One mention of a mattress being too soft prevents a perfect score, but overall, comfort levels are deemed excellent.

Facilities at Sunnyside are frequently highlighted as well-maintained and comprehensive, with special mentions of the hot tub and the well-equipped kitchen. The lack of WiFi is noted, but it does not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is a standout feature, with numerous mentions of personal touches such as homemade cake and wine. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches, while common, are at the discretion of the hosts and not guaranteed.

About this property

This well-presented, single storey cottage is nestled on a touring caravan site in Goxhill near Barrow-upon-Humber; an idyllic village situated in the North of Lincolnshire. Ideal for a romantic break, Sunnyside offers a great base to return to each evening, with the luxury of a private hot tub to enjoy. The open plan living space is a wonderful spot to relax; kick back on the sofa before the Smart TV, flicking through for your favourite films, or set the dining table for a romantic feast while your partner utilises the kitchen, appointed with all the essentials for a short break. After a delicious meal, wrap yourself within the double bed, dreaming about the adventures to come. Wake up with a refreshing shower before taking a warm coffee outside to the enclosed courtyard – the highlight of the property. Here there is a set of table and chairs where alfresco dining is recommended, along with a barbecue should you fancy a grilled feast, while the sumptuous private hot tub will tempt you, offering the ultimate way to relax after a day of exploring. Being in Goxhill means you have easy access to a few amenities, including a convenience store where you can grab your essentials, before exploring the village's historic Medieval Hall and All Saints Church or stopping for a sweet treat at Shawbriggs Farm Shop & Ice-cream. The nearby village of Barrow upon Humber offers a thriving high street with many Georgian and early Victorian buildings, where you can browse the shops and tea rooms. The sandy beach at Cleethorpes and the delightful city of Lincoln are both under an hours drive from the house. Cleethorpes is home to the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway, making for a fun filled day out, while the city of Lincoln boasts an array of amenities, including several shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafés, along the iconic cathedral, which was used as a filming location in the Da Vinci Code. For a day on the coast, visit the town of Bridlington, famed for its bustling promenade and sandy beaches, or visit the city of Hull, teething with arts and culture. Whether it be a relaxing getaway in the countryside, or an adventure-filled with sightseeing, Sunnyside provides a heart-warming base, whatever time of year.

The quaint village of Barrow-upon-Humber lies in the North of Lilcolnshire, about 3 miles east from Barton-upon-Humber. Many of the buildings in the centre of the village are of 18th- and 19th-century era, including Down Hall, Barrow Hall, Papist Hall, Forester's Hall and West Cote Farm. In the market square lies a statue of John Harrison, a local clockmaker and inventor who was praised for his work in sailor navigation. The city of Hull lies to the north, while to the south lies Lincoln, both providing excellent days out.

Sue’s homemade cake and Prosecco on arrival was lovely. This place really is a beautiful hidden gem perfect to relax and unwind. We had an amazing 4 day stay. The hot tub was amazing and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We will definitely be returning in the future. The area is beautiful with its own little villages near by and a 40 min train journey to Cleethorpes coast with plenty to do. Thank you sue and ian
