Guests say

Waterfall Cottage in Carnforth is highly praised for its idyllic riverside location and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, and the proximity to local amenities and attractions. The village of Ingleton offers a charming backdrop with its eateries and waterfall trail. While some guests suggest minor improvements, the overall sentiment is one of satisfaction and a desire to return.

The cottage is consistently described as clean and well cared for, with only a few isolated comments about dust and a mouldy shower head. The positive remarks about cleanliness far outweigh the negatives, indicating a high standard of hygiene.

The location is frequently lauded for its beauty, proximity to the river, and convenience to local amenities and attractions like the Ingleton Waterfall Trail. The peaceful setting and easy access to walks and the village centre contribute to a high score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy living space and warm duvets. However, some guests note that the furniture, particularly the sofa, could be more comfortable, and there are comments about the beds being a bit tired.

The cottage is praised for its well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. However, there are suggestions for improvements such as better lighting, handrails, and a full-size ironing board. The presence of an EV charger is a plus for some guests.

While there are mentions of treats left by the owners, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The cottage is dated but the location is amazing , perfect for the waterfalls, caves and the 3 peaks The beds were very comfortable but the living rolm lacks comfort especially after a day in hiking boots. The Cavern heifer pub does gorgeous food , home cooked. The smell of dogs is strong in the cottage which is a shame but apart from that i'd still recommend the cottage . Many thanks

Good facilities, nice bathroom with a good shower, nice bedroom with comfortable bed and nice views of the river. Would stay again!

The location the facilities the cleanliness were perfect. I would highly recommend booking waterfall cottage. My parents have just booked to stay there on my recommendation. The only one thing that could have made the stay better was the really uncomfortable tiny sofa. After a day out walking it was so hard to lay down and relax. And I know this sounds petty but true
