About this property

Settled on the Pinecroft site in Ingleton, North Yorkshire, is this beautifully-presented, two-bedroom lodge, Cedar Lodge. Enjoying a superb location on the outskirts of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and built using pine logs from Norway and Finland, Cedar Lodge is a fantastic dog-friendly choice for couples, friends and families looking for a slice of Scandinavian style in North Yorkshire. The property benefits from two off-road parking spaces, and a garden with furniture and barbecue, ideal for alfresco dining on balmier evenings. Be welcomed into the light and airy open-plan living space, where you can cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, ready to enjoy at the dining table for six over a celebratory bottle of fizz. After dinner, make your way through to the sitting area, where you can relax on the plush seating listening to your favourite tunes on the CD player, or watching a much-loved film on the TV with Freeview and DVD player. Continue through to find a well-appointed bathroom, where you can freshen up under the overhead shower or with a soak in the bath, before retiring to one of two tastefully decorated bedrooms, a double and a twin. Wander into the village, where you can stock up on essentials at the nearby supermarket, treat your loved ones to a meal out at the Masons Freehouse and The Falls Bar & Kitchen, take a dip in the Ingleton Swimming Pool, visit the iconic viaduct, or hike along the beautiful Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. From here, you can venture into the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, where you can explore the fascinating White Scar Cave, embark on scenic hikes and bike rides, or take on the imposing Ingleborough Peak with exceptional views at its top. Continue onto Kirkby Lonsdale, where you can tour and sample local ales at the Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery, visit the popular attractions of Devil’s Bridge and Ruskin’s View, or dine and peruse the wonderful selection of shops, pubs and restaurants on offer. Further afield, you’ll find Settle, home to The Museum of North Craven Life, the renowned Falcon Manor housing a restaurant, and the excellent Settle and Giggleswick Golf Club. Your journey to North Yorkshire begins at Cedar Lodge.

Located on the western edge of Yorkshire Dales National Park and just beneath Ingleborough, one of the famed Three Peaks, the charming village of Ingleton boasts a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. In addition to the magnificent riverfront environment, there is a year-round climbing wall and a heated outdoor pool open throughout the summer months. The picturesque town square is the focal point of the small, meandering streets that make up the charming village centre. The Waterfalls' Walk is the primary attraction of the area, and the famous White Scar Caves are only a little over a mile away. An ideal base for day trips to the Lake District, the Forest of Bowland, and the Yorkshire Dales.

Well situated for lots of days out plus Ingleton Village is lovely. The lodge had everything we needed with well kept grounds. We didn't want to go home and nor did the dog!

They loved the little play area and just the vast area they had to run around, it felt very safe for them. The cabin itself is nice and cosy but feel it needs a little updating, and a good clean! There was a lot of dust on top of the doors and down the sides of the bed, and the bed sheets had a few marks on them. We stayed in the double room, the bed wasn't the comfiest and there was only one pillow each. Also, my partner is 6'4 so couldn't stretch out because of the panel at the end of the bed. My son (5) slept in the twin beds pushed together and our daughter was in the travel cot that was provided. They both slept absolutely fine. It stated on the ad that there was a BBQ but we never found it. I'm sure if we'd asked for one though, it would have been provided. There was plenty to do within a short distance of the site, our favourite was Morecombe seaside town which the kids loved and was only a 35 minute drive away. We would definitely return back to Pinecroft in the future!

The site is beautifully kept and we didn't have to travel far to go to nearby attractions. The site is dog friendly (we took our long lead which fastens into the grass and she was happy outside watching the squirrels and rabbits!) We recommend visiting Clapham nature trail and Ingleton falls trail. The lodge had everything we needed and the site manager was very helpful. The site 'library' in the phone box was delightful.
