Clouds Hill is a well-loved property with a swimming pool that is a consistent hit among guests. The spaciousness and modern amenities are frequently praised, and the property's peaceful location in Huddersfield, Yorkshire Dales - South, is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions. While some guests have highlighted areas for improvement, the overall experience is one of enjoyment and satisfaction, with many looking forward to return visits.

Cleanliness has been a point of contention among guests. While some found the property immaculate, others reported it as superficially clean with underlying dirt issues, such as food under beds and dirty rugs, which is particularly concerning for those with young children.

The location is highly regarded, with guests appreciating the proximity to shops, pubs, and the nearby village. The peaceful and quiet area adds to the charm of the property, making it a desirable destination for a relaxing getaway.

Comfort receives mixed reviews. Many guests find the house spacious and the beds comfortable, but there are mentions of uncomfortable sofas and issues with bedroom blinds not adequately blocking out light, affecting sleep quality.

Facilities like the swimming pool and gym are highlights, though some guests note that maintenance is needed for certain aspects of the property, including broken furniture and gym equipment. The presence of a well-equipped kitchen is a plus, but some guests encountered non-working appliances.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

This is a lovely house, but it is not luxury, to advertise as such leads to disappointment and complaints, it is a lovely well used house which needs some TLC. For us it was great as we didn't feel we had to be so precious as we would in an a luxury place. Needs immediate attention: Top oven internal glass was not attached and is dangerous. Leak under kitchen sink, we put a sausepan under it. Slats on one of the double beds are broken. Shower in JnJ bathroom had very little pressure, we used the shower in the gym instead. Advisory: mould on some of the blinds and windows in bedrooms need a clean. They rugs definately need lifting and hoovering underneath, I made the mistake of lifting one when hoovering -yikes! The sofa were very low and lacked any stuffing so hard to get out of for all of us. We also had an elderly lady and another (post op) on crutches, so not ideal. None of the above stopped us having a great time. We also booked a late check out at the time of bookng, this was confirmed by Sykes, only to be told the week before that we couldn't have one, this tarnish the end of the trip as we were all a bit rushed, we had to pack on the evening of the 26th. Then the cleaner arrive 15 minutes early - bit cheeky.

This however was soon displaced .We found the accomodation to be clean ,comfortable and well equipped (.ok some of the paintwork was marked but only what we would have expected in holiday accomodation ) Our party consisted of 11 with ages from 2 years old all the way to 71 years old and everyone enjoyed the weekend especially the pool and gym The only problem we had was being unable to find the recycling bins and having to take the recycling home.
