A lovely cottage, well maintained and converted. Really nice feel to the place and the hot tub and heating was always on so never cold! Up the road from Bolster Moor Farm which has a great food hall and on site shop.I wouldn’t try and walk into Golcar itself as there are very windy roads and some of it is very up hill. Get an uber from the Farm only takes 10 min wait and 5 mins to get there.

Absolutely beautiful converted barn. We stayed for a few days for my husband’s 60th birthday celebrations with our daughter and 2 small dogs. The barn had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was used to full potential. Bolster moor farm shop and restaurant is just around the corner, open for breakfast if you don’t fancy cooking, and they do take away. The farm shop is fab.The only thing we would say that put a dampener on our stay, was that we would say that the garden isn’t dog friendly, our dogs are small dogs and they could easily get under the gate or through the fence around the field. We did go prepared with long leads, which they had to have on all the time, ie when we were using the hot tub. I just felt that all it needed was just maybe some chicken wire at the bottom of the gate and fence would have made it secure for small dogs. On the whole though we had an gorgeous time and would definitely recommend anyone to visit.
