Situated on the steep and winding Cragg Road is the hamlet of Cragg Vale. The village is 1000 feet above sea level and the area is ideal for walkers. The village of Luddenden is on the other side of the valley, with a visit to Jerusalem Farm, a nature reserve is well worth visiting. Hebden Bridge is close by and has restaurants, bars, bistros, markets, an independent cinema, art galleries, and the Rochdale Canal. Gorgeous spot for exploring Calderdale. Comfortable and clean. The welcome pack and supply of tea, coffee and milk is a lovely touch. We will be back!! Craggies just up the road is a must for breakfast as well as for prepared meals as take aways. We walked miles and really had a lovely time.

Weather wasn’t best so didn’t take advantage of lovely walks in area but walked towpath from Hebden bridge (a short drive) to Sowerby Bridge and got the train back. Lots to see and do in area and Helen is lovely :)
