Venture in the other direction to the town of Halifax, where you will find Eureka! The National Children's Museum, the 600-year-old medieval manor of Shibden Hall and the recently renovated Piece Hall, which is considered to be one of the most remarkable and historic buildings in England. Travel slightly further afield to Haworth, where you can visit Parsonage Museum commemorating the famous Bronte sisters or explore the moorland, which makes a great spot for walkers to discover the Bronte Waterfall and the National Trust owned Hardcastle Crags, a 19th-century mill with a plethora of wooded Pennine valley trails.
