About these Holiday Cottages

Cherry Tree House and cottages are situated close to a quiet Calderdale village, with two acres of natural heather and woodland garden and superb Pennine views. Our two cottages, Cherry Tree Cottage and Heather Bank Cottage (Four stars awarded) are available all year and we can promise you a friendly personal welcome.

Heather Bank Cottage (sleeps 2+ ) This is a quiet and relaxing one bedroomed cottage, overlooking the woodland garden. Ground floor twin bedded room and attractive family bathroom with natural stone wall and floor tiling. A high quality sofa bed provides extra sleeping in the lounge area upstairs. We recommend this cottage for visitors with pets.
Cherry Tree Cottage (Sleeps 4)  Cherry Tree Cottage is South facing and sunny, and has an "open" aspect, with extensive views over the Pennine countryside. One double bedroom and one with two built-in single beds. There is a well appointed bathroom with a feature timber ceiling.
Both cottages are connected to a wireless broadband network for free e-mail and internet access.
Short Break holidays may start on any day(minimum stay 3 nights). Pets and children are welcome. There is good dog walking on footpaths and bridleways direct from the doorstep

Inside

The cottages have been recently restored from a 19th Century stone barn, and cottage, retaining the natural stone fireplace, featured internal stonework and timber beams.

Heather Bank Cottage has a quiet outlook over extensive woodland / heather garden and the surrounding countryside.  The entire first floor is open plan, featuring a high timber-clad ceiling, with dining area, lounge and well-equipped kitchen.  There is an antique polished wooden floor.

Cherry Tree Cottage is South facing and sunny, with superb views over the Black Brook valley.  The ground floor comprises an open plan and well equipped lounge / dining room with exposed beams and old stone fireplace.  The kitchen has oak units and a breakfast bar. 

Both cottages have use of an LCD TV with Freeview and a DVD

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Heather Bank - Ground floor twin bedded room and attractive family bathroom with natural stone wall and floor tiling. Extra sleeping on the high quality sofa bed.

Cherry Tree - One double bedroom and one with two built-in single beds. These share the well appointed bathroom with feature timber ceiling.

Outside

The cottages share two acres of garden set on three levels which has trees, a pond and heather banks.  Each property has a patio area to the front with a lawned garden and picnic table.

Other points to note:

Since the cottages are next to each other, they are ideal for holidaying with friends or family. You can book the cottages singly, or both together. Wild flowers from our garden are included as a special touch, depending on weather and season !!! We are normally at home to welcome you on arrival and show you round.
