This historic cottage is a fantastic base for family holidays with a history stretching as far back as the 1600s. Boasting a blissful garden area and elegant country-style interiors, you’ll be able to kick back and relax with your loved ones from the moment you step inside. The village of Haworth itself is a lovely place to visit, home of the Bronte sisters, with an array of lovely walks, a fascinating museum, and cafes where you can indulge in a tasty treat.
At the heart of this home is the cosy living room, luxuriously furnished with a selection of leather sofas around a large wood burner creating a perfect spot for evening relaxation. The space is bursting with character, from the exposed beams overhead to the wooden floors and doors which retain much of the property’s original charm. The style continues through to the kitchen where exposed bricks and natural wood fill the space with everything you’ll need to fix up a feast and sit down together to dig in. The first floor is home to the three bedrooms, starting with the master which features a sumptuous king-size bed and matching furniture. There is also a delightful double bedroom and a playful twin which offer flexibility in the sleeping arrangements. Outside, the garden has been designed to allow space for children to run and play, areas for socialisation and a selection of plants and trees to create a private oasis during the summer months.
Bronte Waterfall (2 miles) is a picturesque place to stop off for a picnic, surrounded by moorlands, with a circular walk stretching just under 4 miles which offers an idyllic route for exploring the local area. Head north and you’ll find yourself in the Yorkshire Dales National Park where a world of adventure awaits, with walks at Beamsley Beacon and Lippersley Pike (20 miles), as well as a chance to visit the beauty of Fewston and Swinsty Reservoirs (25 miles).
