About this property

The Old Co-operative building on Haworth's historical cobbled Main Street is home to 2 Rochester House; a contemporary first-floor apartment. A cosy dwelling sitting in the beautiful landscapes of Yorkshire's Bronte Country, this property is a great place to escape everyday life on a romantic retreat with your significant other or short family break. Enter into the well-placed period property, which is also home to a 1940's tea room and gin bar, and venture up the staircase to the first floor to discover the door to your apartment. Gather snacks from the modern well-equipped kitchen to enjoy in the beautifully decorated sitting room (which has a comfortable double sofa bed for additional guests), or indulge in a hearty home-cooked breakfast as you sit at the breakfast bar with a warm cup of coffee and discuss your plans for the rest of the day. Take your bags through to the spacious double bedroom with king size bed and unpack your belongings into the storage provided, before you head across the hall for a quick wash in the shower room ahead of a day spent exploring the local area. Grab your coats and pull on your shoes before stepping out onto Haworth's famous cobbles straight into the centre of village which has an array of independent shops, pubs and restaurants right on your doorstep. Once home to the literary Bronte sisters, this wonderful village is filled with historical sites such as the Bronte Parsonage Museum and The Old School Room, as well as the preserved Keighley Worth Valley Steam Railway station and the sweeping Central Park where major events are hosted throughout the year. Take a scenic hike up to the beautiful Bronte Waterfalls, Top Withens and Wuthering Heights. Further afield, the cities of Bradford and Leeds and towns of Keighley,

Halifax and Skipton (known as the "Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales") with all of their amenities are easily accessible by both car and public transport, as are the tourist hotspots of Saltaire, Ilkley and Harrogate. Note: This can be booked with ref 1038907 sleeping a total of 8 people
