About this property

Evesham 4.4 miles. Resting in the pretty village of North Littleton is this semi-detached cottage, The Belfry. A perfect romantic retreat for a couple wishing to explore the surrounding market towns and nearby Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You are welcomed to the property with a sought-after off-road parking spot on the owner’s drive, before stepping into the sitting room which is an inviting place to relax at the end of a long day as you flick on the Smart TV. Moving through the property there is a kitchen/diner, with a romantic dining table for two and well-equipped kitchen facilities so you can cook up a storm whilst still enjoying some of your favourite shows on the Smart TV. Head out the patio doors to take advantage of the enclosed garden, where you can enjoy some al fresco dining or a bottle of wine under the stars. When it’s time to retire, head to your double bedroom to rejuvenate for another lovely day, and when it's time to get ready in the morning, do it in style with the spa shower. The Belfry is just a short walk away from the local village pub which serves food and drink, making for a great evening out, alternatively if you're looking for a daytime stroll, explore the 13th century Middle Littleton Tithe Barn which is a National Trust property, and one of the largest and finest tithe barns in the country. If you need some self-catering essentials, take a short drive to the shop in Middle Littleton, or travel slightly further to the market town of Evesham where there is a larger selection of pubs and eateries, alongside the River Avon. Also in Evesham you can watch the boats at the marina, take a romantic stroll round Abbey Park, visit the historic Bell Tower, discover the Almonry Museum or hop on board the Vale Light Railway which runs through the park and fruit orchards. In the opposite direction, the market town of Stratford-upon-Avon was once the home to William Shakespeare and his birthplace and school are now a worthy visit with period furnishings, there is also a butterfly farm, a golf course, a magic shop, and a range of interesting museums. Ten miles away lies the fantastic Stratford on Avon Racecourse, whilst a little further afield is Worcester Racecourse, making this abode perfect for those lovers of the races. Also in the area you can spend the day in the city of Worcester, or explore the stunning Cotswolds AONB including the National Trust 20th century gardens of Hidcote which has great views and two cafes. For a romantic trip, with plenty of walking trails, sights to see and history to discover, choose The Belfry as your base.

Within easy driving distance of Worcester, Cheltenham, and Stratford-upon-Avon is the charming market town of Evesham, which is located in the Vale of Evesham and in a horseshoe of the River Avon. In addition to having a wide variety of unique shops, tea houses, craft and antique stores, numerous traditional pubs, an Art Deco movie theatre, and a vibrant arts centre, Evesham and the surrounding area are well known for their market gardening. The Domesday Book mentions Evesham, which features a variety of lovely black and white timbered structures, including the 15th-century merchants house in the Market Square and Evesham Abbey's ruins, which are thought to date to the eighth century. Shakespeare's Avon Way, Wychavon Way, and The Heart of England Way are just a few of the excellent walks available in the area. With its large garden centre, well-stocked farm shop, courtyard shops, restaurant, and 130-acre estate crisscrossed with walks, Evesham Country Park is well worth a visit. You can also take a stroll up Bredon Hill, which is located in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is home to an Iron Age Fort, Roman ramparts, and numerous ancient standing stones. The Bronze Age-old spa town of Malvern, which hosts year-round antique and artisan fairs and auctions, and the historic cathedral city of Worcester, the birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar, are also close by.

They have clearly put a lot of thought in to making it a lovely place to stay with all modern conveniences provided. Three smart TV's, under floor heating and a space age shower. The bed is very comfortable. The best the Cotswolds has to offer are all in close proximity and the pub literally across the road does very good food and great beer.

Property had everything needed to make it feel like a home from home. Owners next door were friendly and helpful and the property is situated in quiet little village with places to visit all around. Great choice for anyone wanting to visit the Cotswolds. Would recommend highly.
