About this property

Top Cottage is a homely Cotswold stone cottage, set in a peaceful location just moments from the high street of the famous market town Broadway. Top Cottage sits in a short row of picturesque cottages and has two welcoming bedrooms, sleeping four guests, perfect for a small family or group of friends, or a couple seeking a break in this stunning part of the Cotswolds.

The front door opens into a small foyer, where you can store your shoes, which leads you through to the living/dining room, a characterful room with exposed Cotswold stones, oak beams and dual aspect quality, with a lovely woodburning stove to keep you warm on a cold evening and a dining table for you to eat your meals, that have been cooked in the well-equipped kitchen which is decorated with oak units and terracotta tiles.

Head up to the first-floor to discover the beautifully decorate double bedroom that benefits from an en-suite shower room with an invigorating walk-in shower and the family bathroom where you can enjoy a long soak in the bath.

A further staircase leads up to the stylish double bedroom in the exposed eaves of the cottage, here you can wake up to views over the rooftops of Broadway and out to the open countryside beyond.

In the morning, make yourself a steaming mug of tea and head outside to take in the beautiful surroundings and fresh country air in the enclosed back garden that is bordered by a Cotswold stone wall and mostly graveled, including a raised patio area with a table set, and an elegant wrought iron garden bench, with an additional stone bench at the front of the cottage, which catches the afternoon sun.

Enjoy a wonderful breakfast at No32 Broadway, before taking a leisurely walk around Broadway to discover an array of individual shops and restaurants, such as Haynes Fine Art, The Cotswold Chocolate Co and Cotswold Distillery Shop, you will not leave empty handed when visiting Broadway!

Chipping Campden can be easily accessed by taking a scenic walk along the Cotswold Way walking trail and alighting at the War Memorial in Chipping Campden to enjoy a lovely walk around the 17th century market square before having a well-earned heart-warming meal at Eight Bells Inn.

Heading slightly further North will bring you to the wonderful market town of Evesham, where train enthusiasts will be delighted to come upon the Evesham Light Railway, which takes its journey a mile through the old apple orchards and around the country park, stopping briefly at Evesham Vale Station where you can take a break from your journey to have a picnic, walk to the river Avon or just enjoy the views overlooking some of the most picturesque scenery the Vale of Evesham has to offer.

Stratford-upon-Avon can be accessed in just over 30 minutes by car, which is the birthplace of William Shakespeare where there is an array of attractions for all the family to enjoy including The Creaky Cauldron, Magic Alley, Tudor World and the beautiful Bancroft Gardens.

For a memorable holiday, stay at Top Cottage.

The charming village of Broadway, known as 'The Jewel of the Cotswolds', nestles beneath the Worcestershire hills. This quintessential English village, one of the most beautiful in the Cotswolds, offers a superb range of unique shops and boutiques, galleries and restaurants, but is also steeped in history with its origins dating back to Roman times. The world-renowned Lygon Arms has been popular for centuries, and now spa facilities can be enjoyed at pre-arranged times. Broadway serves as a great base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounds with Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham Spa and Worcester within easy reach. With an abundance of National Trust properties, museums, beautiful walks and cycle trails, this really is a great place for a relaxing holiday, all year round.
