About this property

Halfway House is a stunning Cotswold stone cottage, located on a peaceful street in the heart of the famous market town of Broadway. Believed to have been part of a coaching inn dating back to the mid-18th century, the cottage has been lovingly refurbished, whilst retaining its character features, with three warming bedrooms sleeping six guests, it’s the perfect getaway for a family or group of friends.

Two sought-after off-road parking spaces greet you on arrival, as you unload your luggage in through the side door which opens into a smart hallway, opening up to the spacious and bright sitting room, where you can take a seat at one of the two window seats that are sat underneath lovely bay windows, whilst your guests gather on the inviting sofas, as the warmth from the woodburning stove gently warms the whole room.

Moving through the property into the dining room you will be engaged by the exposed Cotswold stone walls, oak beams and the large inglenook fireplace that contains an original bread oven and woodburning stove, as you proceed into the well-presented kitchen that is well-equipped for home cooking and has a wonderful gas range cooker with two ovens.

When night falls, head up the traditional stairs that lead you up to the impressive, spacious first floor galleried landing, which has two comfortable arm chairs, and provides access to two king-size bedrooms, one of which has a stylish en-suite with a walk-in shower and the other has direct access into the family bathroom which contains a freestanding bath.

Further stairs lead you up into the charming eaves room which houses a king-size bed and benefits from an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower.

Catch the sunrise in the morning in the very small ornamental front garden that is bordered by yew trees and has a mental bench and two bistro chairs.

Enjoy a wonderful breakfast at No32 Broadway, before taking a leisurely walk around Broadway to discover an array of individual shops and restaurants, such as Haynes Fine Art, The Cotswold Chocolate Co and Cotswold Distillery Shop, you will not leave empty handed when visiting Broadway!

Chipping Campden can be easily accessed by taking a scenic walk along the Cotswold Way walking trail and alighting at the War Memorial in Chipping Campden to enjoy a lovely walk around the 17th century market square before having a well-earned heart-warming meal at Eight Bells Inn.

Heading slightly further North will bring you to the wonderful market town of Evesham, where train enthusiasts will be delighted to come upon the Evesham Light Railway, which takes its journey a mile through the old apple orchards and around the country park, stopping briefly at Evesham Vale Station where you can take a break from your journey to have a picnic, walk to the river Avon or just enjoy the views overlooking some of the most picturesque scenery the Vale of Evesham has to offer.

Stratford-upon-Avon can be accessed in just over 30 minutes by car, which is the birthplace of William Shakespeare where there is an array of attractions for all the family to enjoy including The Creaky Cauldron, Magic Alley, Tudor World and the beautiful Bancroft Gardens.

Make Halfway House your base for your trip to the Cotswolds.

The charming village of Broadway, known as 'The Jewel of the Cotswolds', nestles beneath the Worcestershire hills. This quintessential English village, one of the most beautiful in the Cotswolds, offers a superb range of unique shops and boutiques, galleries and restaurants, but is also steeped in history with its origins dating back to Roman times. The world-renowned Lygon Arms has been popular for centuries, and now spa facilities can be enjoyed at pre-arranged times. Broadway serves as a great base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounds with Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham Spa and Worcester within easy reach.
