Front garden with courtyard, sitting-out area, garden furniture and BBQ. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. The newly renovated Courtyard Retreat is a ground floor apartment, comfortably accommodating up to four guests with wooden floors thorughout. It’s the ideal choice for couples, friends, and families alike.
Calming Farrow and Ball paints feature throughout, stripped back wooden floors and high ceilings make for a calming retreat. Furnished with modern touches but withholding its original features, such high ceilings and its original working open fire. Courtyard Retreat is set within the grounds of a larger privately gated home and gardens.
Courtyare Retreat adjoins the owner’s home which is situated on the edge of Tenbury Wells. The ancient market town of Tenbury is set on the River Teme and was affectionately referred to by Queen Victoria as ’the town in the orchard’. It provides a range of interesting shops, cafés and pubs, whilst Ludlow, with its fine eateries and restaurants, is only a short drive away. For walkers, Titterstone Clee Hill offers spectacular views from its summits, or if you prefer a more leisurely stroll, there are plenty of country walks through the Teme Valley, renowned for its growing of hops and cider apples.
The cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester are only a short drive away as are the National Trust properties of Berrington Hall and Croft Castle. Shop ½ mile, pub ¼ mile.

The Courtyard Retreat was in a very quiet area and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable but the furniture needs to be more serviceable. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was excellent with underfloor heating. It was the lounge which was not comfortable. The dining table which was a gateleg and was very unstable. There was one dining chair which was quite grubby. The other seats for the dining table were wooden stools which were very uncomfortable. It had a very low three seated sofa and one other chair which if you sat in it you disappeared.The window was very ill fitting and it had shutters on the inside which you had to shut to keep the draughts out .It had no information sheet to tell about emergency doctors etc. Nothing about recycling no bin liners in the kitchen bin.We have rented many cottages over the years from you but this was not up to the usual standard we have expected.

Courtyard retreat is well named. Its star feature is a sheltered courtyard with pretty plants, seating and flagstone paving. This was a blissful retreat during the heatwave and we sat out here morning and night, with a good view of the stars after sunset. The flat itself is airy, light and tastefully furnished. There were fresh flowers in the lounge. We very much enjoyed being here. The flat is part of the owners' home establishment and there is another flat above the courtyard retreat but the entrances are all in different places and we felt our privacy was completely respected. The hosts were friendly and helpful but generally just glimpsed getting on with their own business. The house is convenient for the town, which has everything one might need for a relaxing spell in the country, including some good independent shops. It is quiet and friendly, and has several pubs and places to eat. Around and about, the scenery is ravishing, and it's less than an hour's drive to more than one historic city. We bagged our stay in the sale so got a bargain, but I'd say the standard price of this holiday home is fair for what you get.

owner was helpful and very friendly - beds very comfortable but wardrobes not really useable, bathroom & kitchen were fine but living room not comfortable at all and overall quite dated. Outside area decrepit and needs renovation
