Tor Cottage is a charming, detached property, blessed by stunning westerly countryside views, including the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) in the distance on clear sunny days. Set in a secluded spot in Upper Colwall, in the famous Malvern Hills, this well-kept 1929 house is the ideal place for a peaceful, family holiday. Tor Cottage is off the beaten track and benefits from a large garden, within proximity to excellent walking in the hills and a warm welcoming home, with rustic charm and contemporary aesthetics. Be welcomed into the property's open-plan living space where you can spend your evenings relaxing after adventure-filled days; prepare delicious meals in the kitchen area where a large gas range cooker sits alongside a good range of appliances, come together around the dining table with the patio doors opened up in summer to let in the breeze, and a brightly lit sitting area with an open fire for the cooler winter months. Set up the projector via your laptop to watch a family favourite film, or on warm evenings, enjoy a drink out on the patio, before starting the gas barbecue and lighting up the chiminea. The rest of the garden is made up of sloping lawns with a pretty stream running through it, surrounded by woodland and trees. Head upstairs to find three bedrooms, choose from either of the two double bedrooms or the single bedroom, with more stunning views in the former two and all enjoying bright white walls and rustic wooden floorboards, served by the family bathroom which has a bath and shower over. At the back of the house, in the heart of the garden, sits the studio annex, another bedroom with an ensuite bathroom; there you can enjoy a restful night of sleep and wake up surrounded by nature and more stunning views. Enjoy walks from your doorstep, as many paths are accessible from the cottage or head into the nearby bustling town of Malvern. Browse the local independent shops, antique dealers, and second-hand bookshops as well as local artists and craftspeople on show in shops and galleries. Visit the St Ann's Well and Holywell tucked in the valley, made popular by Victorians who wanted to be cured by the waters, as well as several other natural springs dotted around the Malverns which can present a fabulous day out of treasure hunting. The cathedral-sized Great Malvern Priory is an impressive structure for its medieval architecture, whilst another medieval jewel of Abbey Gateway is home to Malvern Museum. Attracting top-class productions and big names is the Malvern Theatres Complex with a theatre, live music venue and a cinema, you can ensure, you have something to do on a rainy day. Discover the charming village of Ledbury, only 10 miles away, with top-notch designer boutiques and a wonderful deli curating local products as well as delicacies from around the world. The world-famous literary village, Hay-On-Wye in Wales, is only an hour drive away. Come back from all these wonderful day trips to rest, reconnect to nature and simply feel at home while staying at Tor Cottage.

Colwall is a large village resting in the county of Herefordshire, split into three areas of Colwall Stone, Colwall Green and Upper Colwall. Resting within the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty means Colwall offers a fabulous base for walkers and cyclists, with stunning scenery and luscious plant and wildlife. The village is home to some pubs, a convenience store and some local businesses, whilst Great Malvern is nearby and provides a wider selection.

    Path needs maintenance. We had a great stay. Views were beautiful and very peaceful.

    Not an ordinary place, very personal. Very spacious (geräumig), we spent two weeks there with our three kids. I didn’t expect a perfectly tuned guitar. The studio was another highlight, spooky at night with Agatha Christies‘. The garden has a lot of potential, my wife would have stayed here for much longer. We‘d loved to come back again.     Property is HUGE and that’s without taking into account the amazing studio. Went on some amazing walks through the beautiful Malvern Hills. Be warned though….some of the hills are challenging to say the least!! Property is well kept, clean and did I mention….spacious. Clean linen and towels provided, lots of crockery, cutlery and all you could possibly need for the perfect stay. Only two problematic issues to report on. Couldn’t seem to get the projector to work but then I am a bit of a technophobe. Parking is not for the light hearted! One space on an incredibly steep bank….but if they’re my only two gripes then I would truly recommend a stay at this beautiful cottage overlooking the Malvern Hills. The views are something to behold. Thoroughly recommended
