Malvern is a great place to stay for any length of holiday. There is something for everyone to explore in this region, thanks to its rich history, dramatic landscape, and proximity to numerous points of interest. The Malvern Hills are a 9-mile long range of ancient rock with 100 miles of trails and bridleways, as well as natural springs and breathtaking views in every direction, earning them designation as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In addition to fishing and river cruises, other nearby outdoor activities include high ropes, climbing, and abseiling. There are a number of gardens and vineyards in the area that are owned by the National Trust, and they are all very convenient to visit. There are numerous unique stores, cafes, art galleries, restaurants, and even a high-end spa in Malvern. Great Malvern, located on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills, has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. The Great Malvern Food Festival is held every June, and the town hosts numerous auctions, farmers markets, and antique and craft fairs all year long. Throughout the year, Malvern Theatres hosts a wide variety of performances, from musicals and dance to concerts by world-renowned musicians and orchestras, and the affiliated cinema shows the latest releases. Each year, in the month of June, the town of Ledbury hosts the Poetry Festival. There is a Morgan Motor Company not far from the cottage, and up in the hills, Eastnor Castle hosts the Land Rover Experience as part of their summer event lineup. Drive just a few minutes and you'll be at the Three Counties Showground, site of many annual events such as RHS Malvern (in May), the Royal Three Counties Show (in June), and the Malvern Autumn Show (in October) (September). Tewkesbury, Hereford, and the Wye valley are all within a day's drive, as is Worcester, one of the Three Choirs Festival cities. Gloucester, with its historic dockyard, Monmouth and the Forest of Dean, and Cheltenham, home to a number of festivals, are all within easy driving distance thanks to the proximity of the M5 and M50 motorways. Day trips can be taken without needing a car due to the proximity of rail and bus connections. A fantastic holiday destination whenever you choose to take one.

Well equipped kitchen and everything we needed to cook our Christmas day lunch. A perfect base for us for visiting family nearby and for walks on the Malvern Hills. Would be happy to return again.

Parking on the drive was horrendously difficult, far too narrow, my car is new, I had to edge in carefully in the dark, literally 3 inches each side to spare, chap down the road helped one night. Kitchen flooded with water, so a dehumidifier was put in for the duration of my stay by the owner, did not even apologise, must have had trouble before due to the note on the cupboard door. Owner uses the bins as an excuse to gawp in lounge window unexpectedly, very awkward. No tea bags / coffee / milk / roller towel, so do what I do, bring everything you need. Couple of times the heating was turned down when I got back, his excuse for coming in was to check on the dehumidifier. Not in a nice part of Malvern at all. On check out, on time, they were circling back and forth in the car waiting for me to go, even though nobody was going in for a few days...I definitely do not recommend one bit.

The property is located on a quiet road, where there is good dog walking areas very close by and also a useful shop just at the other end of the road. The house is comfortable and exceptionally clean, with everything you need. The tidy small garden at the back of the house is reached through patio doors in one of the bedrooms and is completely dog proofed, even for small dogs. We felt our two dogs were very safe in the garden which is reassuring. Malvern is a very attractive town and is just a short drive away. We had a very enjoyable stay even though it was a work trip in part.
