About this property

A romantic and unique retreat and featured in the Tripadvisor Top Ten Worcestershire Holiday lets 2024, The Chapel is a beautiful one bedroom property with an intriguing mix of Gothic features and contemporary furnishings, situated at the end of a private drive.

Exposed timbers, a feature stone fireplace, flagstone and oak floors – The Chapel has a wealth of period features and details to make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Yet the furnishings and fittings are decidedly twenty-first century, with modern comforts like a roll top bath and stylish furniture.

Throughout the property are stone arched windows, with glorious views out onto the unspoilt countryside beyond. A smart use of space puts the sitting room and kitchen on the first floor, making the most of the views. The estate around The Chapel contains a stream and orchard, where you can pick pears, apples and olives. The Chapel is set in its own private gravelled space with a six foot diameter cedar wood-fired hot tub.

The owners can organise a private chef for that extra special occasion; and guests can also enjoy pre-booked beauty treatments including luxurious facials and back massages using the Tropic skincare range at the on-site Wellness Suite, along with wellness sessions such as yoga and breath work (booking ahead essential). Crossbrook Farm Historic Estate can also organise a variety of day events such as retreat days for groups of up to 12 people which can include a variety of activities including yoga, breathwork, energy alignment and nutritional talks. Corporate events for businesses wishing to hold strategic away days or well-being events for staff including treatments in our wellness suite, skincare and healthcare talk and exercise classes can also be accommodated.

The grounds are shared with two other properties, Crossbrook Farm (sleeps four) and The Well House (sleeps two) which can be booked individually or together for the potential of sleeping eight guests.

There are plenty of walks a short distance from The Chapel, including the famous Monarch’s Way footpath that approximates Charles II’s escape route following the Battle of Worcester. The famous Tardebigge Flight, the longest flight of canal locks in the UK, is less than a mile away. Located approximately one mile away is the village of Aston Fields which comes alive in the evening with fabulous Italian and Indian restaurants, an American bistro providing authentic street food and the finest craft beers and cocktails, Wine Bar, Ladybird Public House and a restaurant linked to their adjoining butchers shop serving locally sourced dishes. Aston Fields also benefits from a recently opened railway station with regular services across the Midlands and beyond.

Additional Information:

We absolutely loved this place! The location was brilliant in a very peaceful country setting with pleasant surroundings, but also very close to local amenities. The accommodation was superb! The attention to detail was brilliant and well thought out with the gothic aesthetics both inside and outside the property. We had a very warm welcome from Stuart and Vicki and to walk into the property with church music playing with candles was a brilliant touch! Just added to the whole gothic vibe. The log burner in the lounge was amazing and kept us warm and cozy and the bed was the most comfy we've ever slept it. Kitchen was well stoked with cooking utensils and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We cant wait to book again
