Guests say

The Pump House is a beautifully renovated, cosy cottage set in tranquil countryside, offering guests a peaceful and relaxing retreat. Visitors consistently praise its unique character, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped interior. The secure garden is ideal for dogs, and the surrounding estate provides scenic walks and abundant wildlife. While a few guests noted minor issues such as the absence of a freezer, a small TV, or occasional cleaning lapses, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Most guests found the property spotless and well-presented, with only a couple of reviews mentioning issues such as cobwebs or crumbs. The majority of feedback highlights a high standard of cleanliness.

The peaceful, secluded setting within a country estate is highly praised, with guests enjoying the tranquillity, wildlife, and access to walks. A few mention the remote access and distant traffic noise, but these are minor compared to the overall appreciation of the location.

Guests frequently mention the cottage's comfort, including the large bed, underfloor heating, and relaxing atmosphere. A handful found the sofa or bed too soft for their preference, but most found the accommodation very comfortable.

The property is described as well-equipped, with quality fixtures and thoughtful renovation. Some guests noted the lack of a freezer and a small TV, and a few mentioned steep stairs or the absence of a downstairs toilet, but overall facilities are highly rated.

Several guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as welcome packs with tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits, as well as festive decorations. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We stayed in the lovely Pump House for a week in June 2026. Although the cottage is quite secluded this actually adds to the appeal, it was lovely and peaceful. The cottage is well equipped, beautifully renovated and set in stunning surroundings. Due to location, we made sure we had plenty of 'activities' booked. We visited the RAF Museum at Cosford, The Black Country Living Museum, The National Arboretum, Ironbridge & Bridgnorth, Blists Hill Victorian Town. We highly recommend The Oakley Arms for food, we visited twice during out stay.

Very comfortabel and quirky Location with nice walking opportunities. Very quiet location although its a pityyou’ll hear the Traffic noise of the M54 in the far distance. The Location is perfect for NT members.

Beautiful and quirky property set in lovely location. Everything that we needed for our 4 night stay. Good quality fixtures and fittings with a lovely bathroom. Great views across the adjacent countryside. Very comprehensive arrival instructions sent a few days before we were due to arrive. Parking just outside the enclosed garden. Last part of the road to the house is a bit rough, but we took it steady in our Polo and it was fine. Would highly recommend and hope to stay here again in the future.
