Blackwell is a small village located on the northern edge of the Cotswold escarpement boasting many thatched and half-timbered buildings and lovely countryside walks with the Centenary Way passing through the centre of the village. Nearby, the small village of Tredington enjoys a peaceful setting in the rural south Warwickshire countryside, with easy access to many delightful market towns and villages in the heart of England. The small market town of Shipston-on-Stour is just a short drive away, which boasts many shops, restaurants and pubs, together with a magnificent 17th century church.

The cottage was welcoming and warm. The bed was super king size and very comfortable. We only stay where the beds are this size. The owner was extremely quick to find a plumber to replace the shower cartridge which controls the temperature of the water.

The location is perfect for exploring many of the towns and villages youâd want to see when visiting, itâs situated in very quiet village making for a very relaxing retreat. You can park right outside the cottage which is great with a dog and luggage. The cottage had all of the things youâd need for a short break and was very clean and comfortable. Ok itâs nothing overly flash however fantastic value for money and extremely clean and well-priced compared to many other places to stay with a dog nearby. The bed is very big and comfortable. My only comment would be is that the shower runs at one temperate, hot! Although there is a lovely bath to use if youâd prefer so not an issue. Overall a great place to stay and we will certainly be back!

The weather was pretty bad but the location of the cottage meant we were just a short distance from Stratford, Warwick Castle and many of the Cotswold villages. Would recommend.
