About this property

Nestled near the banks of the River Severn in the gorgeous setting of Ironbridge, a large, historic village in the borough of Telford, lies this delightful, first-floor apartment, The Arms House. With tastefully-preserved, historic interiors, a well-presented, open-plan living space, and superb access to nearby amenities and attractions, this charming property welcomes four guests and two well-behaved dogs for an exciting, self-catered stay in the heart of Shropshire. After you've unpacked, make yourself at home in your new lodgings by rustling up a feast in the fully-equipped kitchen, before settling down with your loved ones at the dining table or in the sitting area to savour your meal whilst you watch a film or two on the sleek Smart TV.

As the day rolls into the night, indulge in a long, hot bath before retiring to one of two king-size bedrooms, both awaiting to whisk you away to a night of well-earned rest ahead of a brand-new, fun-filled day. After you've finished sipping your morning coffee on the Juliette balcony whilst soaking in views of the stunning Ironbridge Gorge, take time to explore your local area by walking into the village, where you can stock up on essentials at Star Newsagents And General Store, pick up a tasty pie from Eley's Pork Pies, settle down for a spot of tea at Tea Emporium, or enjoy a sit down meal at La Casita Bar Tapas or Suree's Kitchen, if you fancy a break from cooking one evening.

You'll also find plenty to do and see whilst you're in Ironbridge, such as visiting the Iron Bridge Tollhouse Museum, the historical landmarks of Patten's Rock Quarry and the Bedlam Furnaces, with other noteworthy attractions including the Blists Hill Victorian Town, the Coalport China Museum and the National Trust location of Benthall Hall being just a brief car journey from your new, idyllic dwelling. Enjoy all of this and so much more when you book a stay at The Arms House.

The Industrial Revolution was ushered in at Ironbridge Gorge, which is well-known on a global scale. Currently, the region is hardly industrial, and the most of the former industrial sites have been reclaimed by nature, leaving a distinctive and lovely wooded valley. The gorge is now a network of footpaths, bridleways, and rural lanes, and the charming settlement is well-known for being the location of the first iron-built bridge in the world, constructed between 1777 and 1779. The Ironbridge Museums Trust, which includes the fascinating Blists Hill Victorian Village, is a group of eleven museums with industrial and Victorian themes that are spread across the village. Popular historic towns like Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, and Ludlow, as well as the Wroxeter Roman City, the Severn Valley Railway, the RAF Cosford Museum, and other National Trust properties, are all easily accessible by car. The picturesque county of Shropshire may be explored from a great starting point at Ironbridge.

The apartment has everything you need and is close to some great local pubs!

We had a fabulous time chilling out in it. Very comfortable and everything we required. We were able to park on Church Hill and carry our stuff to the property however some people may find this a bit tricky. I'd suggest not even trying to drive up St Luke's Road unless your car is on the small side. My only constructive feedback for the owner is that the kettle needs a serious descale.

Great accommodation My only observation is that parking is nearly impossible if you have a large SUV or an estate car, I kerbed the car and ended up parking in the public car park across the river, to make clients aware before they book that this would be a good idea
