Off-road parking greets you on arrival before stepping into the hallway; here you can leave your muddy boots and jackets. The open-plan living space has a corner sofa, a smart TV and dining/ seating for six, ideal for winding down after a day of exploring. The kitchen is a contemporary space fitted with the amenities you need, including an electric oven, a hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer, and a dishwasher. When eyes tire, there are two double bedrooms on the ground floor with Smart TVs, serviced by a sleek bathroom. The attractive rural village of Alton lies on the western fringes of the Peak District in lovely moorland countryside, between the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne. The village offers a post office, village shop and pubs serving food. The surrounding countryside is excellent for walking and cycling with miles of woodland trails and moorland hikes to enjoy. Dovedale and the limestone Churnet Valley are on the doorstep and The Manifold Trail is close by
