Set in around 12 acres of woodland, this is real country living at its best, but with the convenience of local facilities nearby. Both properties have wood burners taking pride of place for cosy winter months, and for the long summer days the gardens are perfect for simply soaking up the peace and quiet. You’ll find a selection of food serving pubs and a local convenience store less than a mile away with the villages of Endon and Stockton Brook easily accessible. Further afield the market town of Leek can be reached in a 15-minute drive and offers a lot including a wealth of high street shops and eateries.
The Caldon canal runs close by so is perfect for waterside walks and cycles with maybe a spot of lunch at one of the canal-side pubs on the way. There’s also Rudyard Lake for some water-based activities surrounded by some of the most dramatic scenery to be found in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Thrill-seekers mustn’t miss Britain’s premier theme park Alton Towers which is just a 30-minute drive away, and the location is also just a few miles southwest of the magnificent Peak District National Park. The position is excellent for exploring Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire and is also just 40 minutes from the fascinating market town of Ashbourne with its abundance of eateries and renowned antique shops.

A huge thank you to Carolyn and Ade for hosting this beautiful property. Sited at the end of the lane this property delivers peace and quiet. We loved sitting with an evening drink and watching the rabbits and fox cubs playing in the field. Serenity has a well equipped kitchen with microwave, oven, fridge and dishwasher. Lots of crockery, glasses and utensils / ovenware to cook with. Loved the complimentary tea, coffee & hot chocolate which we enjoyed on the patio as the sun went down. The property is very clean, bed comfy and walk in shower was excellent.The property is situated close to the Roaches. From here we easily visited Ashbourne, Bakewell, Heights of Abraham, Trentham and the Tissington Trail. Lovely to return in the evening and go to local pubs for a meal or drink.Thank you Carolyn and Ade for developing such a lovely space. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

We were greeted with a lovely welcome from the owners. The cottage was immaculate and in an idyllic location. Incredibly dog friendly (we had 3 with us). Easy access to all that the Peak District has to offer. We had the most amazing time and will definitely revisit. Perfect place!
