Hillcrest House is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its cleanliness, ample parking, and suitability for large family gatherings across generations. The secure garden is a hit with pet owners, and the property's proximity to a good pub adds convenience. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of personal touches are noted, the overall experience is positive, with guests enjoying the space and the amenities provided.
Guests consistently describe the property as clean and well-maintained, contributing to a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for celebrations.
The property's location is appreciated for its proximity to a pub and suitability for dog walks, although there is no direct mention of the broader location's attributes.
The house is generally found to be comfortable, accommodating large groups with ease. Some guests mentioned a need for blackout curtains and bedside lights, slightly impacting the comfort score.
Facilities like dishwashers and a fire pit are well-received, but some guests noted a shortage of kitchenware and issues with heating and TV operation, indicating room for improvement.
There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Guests did note a lack of personal touches, such as a welcome note or visitor's book.
The wonderful property is ideal for a large family get together or group of friends staying together. Great for touring the beautiful Staffordshire countryside..

The accommodation was perfect for us as a family of 11 ranging from 9 to 87. Good that the garden was secure for the dog. 2 dishwashers a bonus, also large washing machines and tumble dryer. The owner/ manager and plumber responded promptly to deal with heating issues. The separate fire house with fire pit and BBQ was an unexpected bonus. Maps of local way marked paths would be helpful for anyone who can’t access them on line. The zoo park not far from Leek is a good day out but no mention of it in the property.

Lovely property which comfortably accommodated a family of 16 adults and children meeting up for a special birthday celebration. Also with the enclosed garden and drive felt very relaxed with the younger children playing outside including our Labrador. Also ideal for car parking easily accommodated 4 vehicles. Finally a good pub next door which was very convenient and even on request plated up Sunday lunches to be eaten at the house which was more convenient with young children.

A lovely house & outside area with plenty of parking. We were a family group of 11 adults and 3 dogs and we all enjoyed ourselves.Overall it was well equipped, but we cooked 2 out of the 3 nights we were there and found there was a shortage of serving dishes and no jugs other than 1 plastic discoloured measuring jug.The top floor bedroom had no bedside light and no mirror in the bathroom.Be prepared to take everything you need like salt & pepper, cooking oil etc. as there was nothing left in the kitchen. Also take your own dishwasher tablets and spare loo rolls. It is a great house/location, but I did feel it let itself down (as above) plus it felt slightly lacking in any personal touch. (No welcome note/visitors book/just a few instructions on a notice board)
