Outside, there is a spacious lawned garden and a decking area with a table and chairs provided, the perfect place to sit out of a morning with a warming cup of English breakfast tea. Toll Keepers Lodge is situated along the banks of the Shropshire Union Canal where fishing is permitted with a licence. Walkers will love the area as the lodge is a stones throw away from Fenns, Whixall and Bettisfield Mosses National Nature Reserve, part of Britains third lowland raised bog site of Special Scientific Interest. For nature lovers, there is an abundance of mosses trails where kingfishers, flag iri, butterflies and banded demoiselle damselflies can be seen. The property is situated along the Shropshire Union Canal where fishing is allowed as long as a fishing permit is held. Further afield, you can enjoy Hawkstones famous Follies, which are a collection of man-made caves, cliffs and grottoes along with the beautiful towns of Shrewsbury, Chester and Telford, not forgetting Iron Bridge.
