Situated on the banks of a picturesque canal, 3 miles from Ellesmere, within the rolling borderlands of Shropshire and Wales, the three cottages offer shared living space and accommodate eight guests across four bedrooms between them. Designed with those with disabilities and vulnerabilities in mind, the scenic site benefits from beautiful gardens and access to public footpaths.

Arrive to discover one of your cottages encompasses superb living space for those staying in both cottages. Here you will find a dining room, with an open fire and TV, and space to congregate for sociable meals. Your well-equipped kitchen, where you can prepare your feasts, is also close by and there is a conservatory with a sofa here too, where you can read quietly or chat about your day. Also within this building are a utility room and an accessible WC. Each of the other two light, sun-filled cottages feature two wheelchair-friendly bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. Each cottage also has an accessible wet room. Laundry facilities are located within another separate building. Watch the canal boats drift by from the lovely lawned gardens. Cook out on the BBQ and dine in the fresh air on fine summer days. There is ample private parking here.

Make your way to Ellesmere to shop, dine and look out across the beautiful lake from accessible footpaths and seating areas. Head 11 miles to Alderford Lake with its aquapark and opportunities to hire paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. There is also easy access for adaptive water sports here. The charming market town of Whitchurch is 10.5 miles away, while bustling Shrewsbury, with its castle, museum and colourful cafe culture, is 16.5 miles away.

- Lyneal Trust is the charity who own the wharf and cottages and offers holidays solely for people with disability, illness or injury, or any other vulnerability, and their family, friends and carers who may accompany them. You will be asked by the trust before arrival, how your party meets this requirement

- 4 bedrooms split between 2 cottages (separate to the living space/day cottage) – 2 doubles, 2 twins with 3.5cm clearance between the floor and the base of the beds
