Guests say

Bryngwilla Gate Lodge is a beautifully designed and quirky property, praised for its high-quality interiors, comfort, and cleanliness. Guests appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, luxurious bedding, and unique character. Some found the layout—requiring guests to go outside to access bedrooms and bathrooms—less convenient, and noted occasional traffic noise. While some guests enjoyed generous welcome hampers, others felt certain extras were lacking. Overall, the lodge offers a memorable and comfortable stay with thoughtful touches, though a few practical aspects could be improved.

Multiple reviews highlight the property as spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with no negative comments about cleanliness.

The location is convenient for visiting both Wales and England, but some guests noted proximity to a busy road and associated traffic noise.

Guests frequently mention comfortable beds, high-quality furnishings, and a warm atmosphere, though some found the need to go outside between rooms less comfortable.

The lodge is well-equipped with top-quality appliances and kitchenware. However, some guests noted the absence of certain amenities such as toiletries, games, and throws, and found the outdoor sitting area less appealing.

Several guests appreciated generous starter packs and hampers, but experiences varied and some found the welcome gifts less impressive. Please note that gifts and hampers are not guaranteed.

The beautiful wooden panelled door leads to your left into the light and airy, spacious kitchen with a high ceiling, stunning arched windows and oak floorboards which perfectly complement the soft pink walls, pale green units and white granite work surfaces. The kitchen is well-equipped and has plenty of storage with a small turret housing a useful separate larder. A central island with stools is ideal for a quick snack or chatting while cooking. Passing through a second turret, you will find yourself in the cosy sitting room with a lower ceiling and windows stretching the entire width of the room. With a comfortable soft velvet sofa and large Smart television, it’s the perfect place to curl up and enjoy a film or a good book. A small dining table sits to one side for intimate dinners, board games or work if it calls, and you can use the door at this end of the property to access the gravel area at the rear of the property with views out over the historic English parkland, now part of the Estate’s organic farm.

Crossing under the arch and entering the other side of the split property takes you into the luxurious bathroom with a marble-topped vanity unit, a roll-top bath and a spacious shower. There is a traditional wc in its own separate turret, off the bathroom. Continue through the second turret to the elegant and spacious bedroom with large built-in wardrobes and a king-size bed topped with luxurious linens. With an external door and another window stretching across the width of the room along with beautiful nature inspired wallpaper and calm colours, this room is a tranquil space in which to wind down at the end of the day.

Beautiful, comfy and quirky accommodation. Interiors are top notch. Comfy bed with the softest sheets ever! Lots of windows including sky lights. Beautiful bathroom. Perfect kitchen with everything for meal prep and service. Even had my own gardner and house cleaning one day. I really felt like a queen staying at Bryngwilla.
