Kate was suggesting events that were happening locally in Much Wenlock (worth an explore), and just generally being hospitable, whilst also leaving me to do my thing. The apartment itself is very spacious and a perfect base for exploring Shropshire. The downstairs room has a large dining room table at one end, and sofa and tv at the other. The well appointed kitchen is on a 'mid-level' floor, and has everything you need, should you want to cook. Up some more stairs, above the downstairs room is the bedroom and bathroom; both spacious. The bed is comfortable, and there are lovely views. Because it is over 2.5 floors, it's not ideal for folks who aren't great with stairs.

Our accommodation was as well presented as when we stayed there last year. It was clean, warm and smelled fresh, especially in the kitchen where a delicious ginger cake was waiting in the welcome basket. The Butler's Quarters is ideally situated for visiting southern Shropshire and the borderlands with Wales and the market town of Much Wenlock nearby. We look forward to returning.
