During warmer months, open up the patio doors, grill a feast on the barbecue and eat out in the sunshine. You’ll also have access to all 4-acres of the nearby fields to walk the dog or have a picnic at the tables while taking in the stunning countryside and valley views. As the evening winds down, retreat to either beautifully-decorated bedrooms and take a relaxing, steaming shower in their respective en-suites before sinking into bed. A refreshing and relaxing break awaits you at Rockhill Farmhouse. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1137605 together sleeping up to eight guests.

A.E. Houseman's poem, A Shropshire Lad, defined Clun as 'the quietest place under the sun', and with its dramatic ruin of a Norman castle, Saxon church, the bustling river which flows under the 14th century pack horse bridge, and a country inn, Clun is a rural gem situated in the South Shropshire Hills. It lies on the Shropshire Way in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to the border of Wales, an area known as The Marches. This unspoilt part of Britain has an abundance of wildlife and beautiful unhindered walking and cycling routes winding their way through the countryside with the Clun and Kerry Forests, Offa's Dyke, and Kerry Ridgeway all close by. There are a wide range of festivals and shows on offer in the surrounding area throughout the year, including The Green Man festival in May. From Clun, you can also enjoy exploring the historic towns of Bishop's Castle, Presteigne, Ludlow, Shrewsbury, and Hereford, a must for visitors.

The accommodation was outstanding. The best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The location was fantastic, walks from the doorstep including one of the best sections of Offas Dyke. The views from the Farmhouse are stunning, you can see Long Mynd, Stiperstones and Wenlock to name a few. Clun offers a shop, pub and towns including Ludlow, Bishops Castle, Church Stretton and Knighton are a short drive away on quiet well kept roads. There is also another lovely cottage onsite so a larger group can stay at Rockhill. The Farmhouse can easily accommodate 4 people with a very well stocked kitchen. The wifi was superfast. The beds were very comfortable, great showers. The lounge with a log fire, smart TV, it is a home from home. There are 4 acres for dogs with dog bags provided. Lovely places to sit out and enjoy the farmland and nightsky. No light pollution or noise it is so peaceful. We could not rate it high enough. Thank you to Eileen, Vaughan and Monty the dog. We will be regulars here, what a great holiday.
