The Wain House receives glowing praise for its peaceful countryside setting, immaculate presentation, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests consistently highlight the relaxing hot tub, thoughtful touches on arrival, and the property's comfort and cleanliness. The cottage is well-equipped and ideal for families or groups, with only minor issues such as occasional maintenance needs and parking challenges. The presence of alpacas and proximity to local attractions add to its charm, making it a highly recommended retreat for a relaxing getaway.
Cleanliness is frequently commended, with many guests describing the property as spotless, tidy, and well-maintained. Only rare minor comments about bathroom or kitchen tiles needing attention were noted, but these did not detract from the overall high standard.
The rural location is widely appreciated for its tranquillity and beautiful countryside views, with easy access to Ludlow and other attractions. A few guests mentioned the property is a little remote and directions could be clearer, but overall the setting is a highlight.
Guests consistently report a comfortable stay, praising the cosy atmosphere, good beds, and spacious layout. Minor comments included the lounge being cold on one occasion and the lack of a log burner, but these were exceptions.
Facilities such as the hot tub, games room, and kitchen are generally well-received. The hot tub is a standout feature, though a few guests noted occasional maintenance issues or limited kitchen utensils. Some games room equipment could be improved, and parking can be challenging at times.
Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches such as homemade cake, wine, milk, and even dog bowls on arrival. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Hot tub was well maintained. Games room was an added bonus pool table was good fun but was disappointed you had to pay to use it. Plenty of board games available to use. However could do with some more ping pong balls. The mini snooker table and ice hockey table could do with replacing. Communication with staff was excellent. We found that the 9.30am checkout was too early and could do with changing to 10.00am and having spoken to other holiday makers there they said the same. Overall had a lovely time.

Hot tub was the best & cleanest Iâve ever been into. Our only comment would be to raise the fence and add a 6 foot gate to the side of the property for privacy but also . When in the tub the wind channels down from the hill & makes it a tad chilly when getting out. Otherwise highly recommend â¦. Perfecto

The property is fairly spacious and it was certainly sufficient for 6 people (2 adults and 4 kids). The place was clean and beds vere comfortable! As a self catering accommodation the equipment is quite basic and it would be beneficial to add some extra items. Both bathrooms would also benefit from some shelving units as there is no space to keep toiletries. We were visiting during a heatwave and the house, particularly upstairs can get very hot but no fans (or Aircon) is available. The outside space is small, sufficient for sitting and relaxing but children had to go outside the property to play. The garden is in full sun all day and only small umbrella is available; luckily we had our gazebo with us, which protected us from the sun. There is no grass, only stones. Parking is sufficient for two large cars and the place is easy to find on Google Maps. Overall, we had a great stay!
